Yes, we can reduce height and width. One thing to know: most conifers won’t regrow from bare brown wood, so we can’t cut back below the green growth and expect it to fill in — we’ll advise on how far we can safely take it.
It’s an offence to disturb active nests, so we always check before cutting. The main nesting season runs roughly March to August, and we’ll work around it where needed.

For most hedges, late spring (after the first flush of growth) and early autumn work well. Avoid the nesting bird season from roughly March to August for any substantial cutting — we’ll always check for active nests before we start. Conifers are best trimmed in late summer.
Yes. We can cut back to the boundary line cleanly and legally. Anything that overhangs your neighbour’s side can technically be trimmed by them, but a clean professional cut on your side avoids disputes and leaves a much better finish. We’ll advise on the best approach for your specific hedge.
